CAR RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

I. Car Rental

1. Minimum rental period and reservation

The minimum rental period is:

From October to May - 3 days.
From June to September - 5 days

Each reservation is considered valid after confirmation from us has been sent to the email address provided by you.

2. Renter requirements

The Renter must be at least 23 years old, must hold an identity card or passport, a valid driving license and any applicable accompanying driving document, all valid until the end of the rental period, and must have held a driving license for at least 3 years.
For high-class and 4x4 vehicles, the minimum age is 25 years and at least 5 years of driving experience is required.
If the Renter is a foreign citizen, an International Driving Permit or a legalized translation of the original driving license is required when the license has been issued by a country that is not a party to the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic of 8 November 1968. The original driving license must always be presented as well.
Operator Licenses are not accepted as driving licenses.

3. The Rental price includes

Mileage without a fixed daily limit, subject to normal vehicle use appropriate to the rental duration.
Third-Party Liability Insurance.
Road vignette for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Replacement vehicle in the event of a technical problem within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

4. Payment Methods and Deposit

4.1. Payment Method

Payment can be made using the following methods:

Cash – upon collection of the vehicle.
Bank transfer – up to 3 days before collection of the vehicle.
POS terminal – by Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron or BORICA debit or credit card upon collection of the vehicle, subject to an additional fee of 2% of the amount paid using this method.
Virtual POS terminal – when making an online reservation.

When making an online reservation, you can make a partial prepayment of 15% of the final price or pay the full amount in advance. In the case of partial prepayment, the remaining balance of the final price is payable upon collection of the vehicle.

“Luxury Cars 07” Ltd. does not store the details of bank cards used for payments through the website.

Transactions are processed using the Mastercard Identity Check and Visa Secure security programs.

4.2. Deposit

When renting a vehicle, the Renter provides a deposit.
The amount of the deposit depends on the selected vehicle and the additional insurance coverage selected.
The deposit may be provided in cash or by bank card via POS terminal upon collection of the vehicle.
All or part of the deposit may be retained in the event of identified damage, missing items or other obligations under the rental agreement.
Missing vehicle parts or accessories provided with the vehicle shall be paid for by the Renter at their full value.

5. Technical Problem or Road Traffic Accident

In the event of a technical problem or road traffic accident, the Renter must immediately contact us using the telephone numbers specified in the rental agreement.
In the event of a road traffic accident, the Renter must call 112 and obtain the necessary documents from the competent authorities.

6. „INSURANCE“

Available for an additional fee at the customer's request.

Coverage includes:

Limitation of liability in the event of damage or a road traffic accident where the Renter is not at fault, up to the amount of the deposit – subject to compliance with the Road Traffic Act, the terms of the rental agreement, return of the vehicle keys and documents, and presentation of a document issued by the competent authorities certifying the occurrence of the event. This does not apply in the event of alcohol consumption or the use of other intoxicating substances.
Limitation of liability in the event of fire or theft of the vehicle, up to the amount of the deposit – subject to compliance with the Road Traffic Act, the terms of the rental agreement, return of the vehicle keys and documents, and presentation of a document issued by the competent authorities certifying the occurrence of the event.
Replacement vehicle within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria – in the event of a technical malfunction, we will provide a replacement vehicle within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria within 4 business days.
Waiver of the administrative fee in the event of an incident.
Free roadside assistance within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria – in the event of damage for which the Renter is not at fault or a technical problem.

Important:
By purchasing “INSURANCE”, you receive full or partial limitation of liability only upon presentation of a Traffic Police report and return of the vehicle keys and documents. The coverage does not apply in the event of drug, alcohol or other intoxicating substance use, or in the event of non-compliance with the Road Traffic Act.

“INSURANCE” does not cover damage to the vehicle's undercarriage, damage to tires, audio equipment, heavily soiled or burned interior, partial losses, or loss of parts or accessories. In the event of lost vehicle documents or keys, the Renter shall pay a fee according to the applicable price list.

“INSURANCE” also does not cover:

Damage to the vehicle's undercarriage, tires, oil pan and exhaust system, except for damage caused as a result of a road traffic accident.
Damage occurring while the rented vehicle is being driven by a person who is not listed in the rental agreement or by a person who is not legally authorized to drive.
Damage occurring while the vehicle is being used for racing purposes.
Damage occurring while the vehicle is being driven by the customer while intoxicated or under the influence of narcotic or other strongly intoxicating substances.
Any damage where the customer is unable to provide a report issued by the competent authorities regarding a road traffic accident and/or theft of the vehicle.
Theft where the vehicle is stolen together with the registration certificate and/or keys.
A road traffic accident or damage caused by the Renter, including cases of shared or undetermined fault.

7. „FULL INSURANCE“

Available for an additional fee at the customer's request.

“FULL INSURANCE” includes the “INSURANCE” under Section 6 and provides the following additional benefits:

Waiver of liability for damage to the exterior of the vehicle – subject to compliance with the Road Traffic Act and the terms of the rental agreement.
Waiver of liability for damage to tires – subject to compliance with the Road Traffic Act and the terms of the rental agreement.
Waiver of liability for damage to rims and wheel covers – subject to compliance with the Road Traffic Act and the terms of the rental agreement.
Waiver of liability for damage to the windshield – subject to compliance with the Road Traffic Act and the terms of the rental agreement.
Replacement vehicle within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria – in the event of a road traffic accident, damage or theft, the Renter will receive a replacement vehicle within 2 business days within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Waiver of the administrative fee in the event of an incident.
Lowest deposit.

Important:
By purchasing “FULL INSURANCE”, the Renter's liability is limited for damage arising from up to one incident during the rental period.

Full waiver of liability is provided only upon presentation of a Traffic Police report, an inspection report and damage assessment issued by the insurance company, and return of the vehicle keys and documents.

The coverage does not apply in the event of drug, alcohol or other intoxicating substance use, non-compliance with the general terms and conditions of the rental agreement, or non-compliance with the Road Traffic Act.

“FULL INSURANCE” does not cover damage to the interior, a heavily soiled or burned interior, partial losses or loss of accessories. In the event of lost vehicle documents or keys, the Renter shall pay a fee according to the applicable price list.

“FULL INSURANCE” also does not cover:

Damage occurring while the rented vehicle is being driven by a person who is not listed in the rental agreement or by a person who is not legally authorized to drive.
Damage occurring while the vehicle is being used for racing, cargo or commercial purposes, or for the paid transportation of people, goods, parcels, etc.
Damage occurring while the vehicle is being driven by the customer while intoxicated or under the influence of narcotic or other strongly intoxicating substances.
Theft where the vehicle is stolen together with the registration certificate and/or keys.
Any damage where the customer is unable to provide a report issued by the competent authorities regarding the incident, road traffic accident or theft of the vehicle, as well as an inspection report and damage assessment issued by the insurance company.

8. Fuel

Fuel is not included in the rental price.
The vehicle is provided with a full fuel tank and must be returned with a full fuel tank.
If the vehicle is returned without a full fuel tank, the Renter shall pay for the missing fuel at the market price per liter applicable on that day, as well as a fee of €15.
Refueling must be carried out only at the specified fuel stations – OMV, Lukoil and EKO Petroleum – and the receipt from each refueling must be retained until the end of the rental period.
Discount cards for fuel are provided for the specified fuel stations when available.

9. Delivery, Collection and Return

Our office working hours are from 09:00 to 18:00.

For rental periods of 5 or more days, delivery and collection of the vehicle from a specified address in Sofia are free of charge between 07:00 and 21:00.
For rental periods of 3 or 4 days, a fee of €15 is charged for delivery of the vehicle and €15 for collecting it from a specified address in Sofia.
Delivery to Plovdiv, Burgas and Varna is available subject to prior confirmation by the Lessor and for an additional fee.
If the vehicle is returned more than 4 hours after the agreed return time, an additional full 24-hour rental period will be charged.
Collection or return of a vehicle between 21:00 and 07:00 is subject to an additional fee of €20 for each separate collection or return.
Collection or return of a vehicle on an official public holiday is subject to an additional fee of €20 for each separate collection or return.
Where collection or return takes place both on an official public holiday and between 21:00 and 07:00, both fees are charged cumulatively.
Applicable additional fees are charged separately from any vehicle delivery or collection fee, where such a fee applies.

10. Additional Equipment and Services

Additional driver – free of charge.
Infant car seat 0–13 kg – €1 per day, maximum €15 per rental period.
Child car seat 9–18 kg – €1 per day, maximum €15 per rental period.
Booster seat 15–36 kg – €1 per day, maximum €15 per rental period.
ISOFIX child car seat 0–36 kg – €2 per day, maximum €30 per rental period.
Roof box – €30 one-time fee per rental period.

Important:
Before driving away, the Renter is required to ensure that any additional equipment provided, including child car seats, booster seats, roof boxes and other accessories, is properly installed, secured and suitable for its intended use. After accepting the vehicle, the Renter is responsible for the proper use, fastening and securing of the additional equipment throughout the rental period.

If the equipment is moved, removed or reinstalled by the Renter or another person during the rental period, the Renter is responsible for ensuring that it is subsequently installed and secured correctly.

11. Rentals Outside the Country

Taking the vehicle outside the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria is permitted only to the Republic of Greece, subject to prior approval by the Lessor, payment of the applicable fee and issuance of the required written power of attorney.
The Renter must notify the Lessor at least 3 business days in advance of any intention to travel to the Republic of Greece.
A one-time fee of €50 is charged for taking the vehicle to the Republic of Greece.

12. Reservation Cancellation or Modification

A confirmed reservation may be canceled or modified by the Renter up to 72 hours before the start of the rental period without an additional fee.
If a reservation is canceled or modified less than 72 hours before the start of the rental period, a fee of 15% of the final rental price will be charged.
Where an advance payment has been made, the amount is non-refundable if the Renter fails to appear to collect the vehicle.
If the Lessor is unable to provide the reserved vehicle or a vehicle of the same class, any advance payment made will be refunded in full.
If the reservation is canceled at least 72 hours before the start of the rental period, the prepaid amount will be refunded within 48 hours to the same account or card from which the payment was made.

In the event of early return of the vehicle:

For rentals of 3 or 4 days – amounts paid for the unused rental period are non-refundable.
For rentals of 5 or more days – 50% of the rental price for the remaining period will be retained.

13. Extension of the Rental Period

If you wish to extend the rental period, the Renter must contact us by email or using the telephone number provided on the website. The possibility of extending the rental depends on vehicle availability. The price of an extension is calculated according to the current price list based on the total number of rental days. We recommend requesting an extension as early as possible due to the possibility of a subsequent reservation for the vehicle.

14. Insurance does not cover

Missing parts or accessories.
Damage to or missing items from the vehicle interior.
Damage resulting from a violation of the Road Traffic Act.
Damage occurring while the vehicle is being driven by a person who is not listed in the rental agreement.
Loss of or damage to the Renter's personal belongings.

The cases listed above do not constitute an exhaustive list. All other limitations, exclusions and cases of liability provided for in the rental agreement and the terms of the applicable additional coverage also apply.

15. Prohibited use of the Vehicle

The following are prohibited when using the rented vehicle:

Smoking.
Driving under the influence of alcohol, narcotic or other intoxicating substances.
Driving off-road.
Subletting the vehicle to third parties.
Using the vehicle for racing, commercial purposes or the paid transportation of people, goods, parcels, etc.
Towing another motor vehicle.
Transporting animals outside specially designed animal carriers.

16. Handover and Return of the vehicle

The vehicle is handed over to the Renter in good technical condition and with the mandatory equipment required by the Traffic Police authorities.
The condition of the vehicle is documented in a handover protocol signed by both parties, which forms an integral part of the rental agreement.
The Renter undertakes to return the vehicle with all documents provided, within the agreed period and at the agreed location, in the condition in which it was received, allowing for normal wear and tear.
Failure to return the vehicle for more than 24 hours after the agreed rental period has expired, without notifying the Lessor, shall be considered misappropriation, and the Lessor shall notify the competent authorities while retaining all rights under the rental agreement.

17. Rights of the Renter

If the Renter does not receive the reserved vehicle on time due to the fault of the Lessor, the Renter is entitled to a refund of the corresponding portion of the prepaid amount for the period of delay.
If, for objective reasons, the Lessor is unable to provide the exact vehicle reserved under a confirmed reservation, the Renter is entitled to receive a vehicle of the same class or to receive a full refund of the advance payment made.
No other compensation shall be due.

18. Responsibilities of the Renter

The Renter is required:

To comply with the Road Traffic Act.
To ensure the security and safety of the rented vehicle.
To keep the vehicle securely locked.
To return the vehicle within the period specified in the rental agreement.
To pay all fines and penalties imposed in connection with the use of the vehicle.
To pay the costs arising from a road traffic accident or theft where the applicable additional coverage has not been purchased or the conditions of the rental agreement have not been fulfilled.
To cover the cost of lost parts, accessories, keys, documents, registration plates and other missing items in accordance with the applicable price list.
To pay the applicable fee for smoking in the vehicle and the cost of professional cleaning in the event of serious soiling.
To cover the rental costs for the period during which the vehicle is taken out of service by the Traffic Police as a result of a violation of the Road Traffic Act by the Renter.

19. Rights of the Lessor

The Lessor has the right to refuse to confirm or fulfill a reservation, including in cases where incomplete, false or contradictory information has been provided, the rental requirements have not been met, there are doubts regarding the identity of the Renter or the documents presented, there have been previous violations or outstanding obligations to the Lessor, or where circumstances exist which, in the reasonable judgment of the Lessor, create an increased risk to the vehicle, the performance of the rental agreement or the safety of the parties.

For an already confirmed reservation, the Lessor has the right to refuse to provide the vehicle if, upon collection, the Renter fails to present the required valid documents, the documents or information presented do not correspond to those provided at the time of reservation, or another material circumstance is identified that prevents the vehicle from being provided lawfully or safely.

Where the refusal is not the result of a violation, false information, invalid documents or another act or omission by the Renter, any advance payment made will be refunded.

19.1. Early Termination of the Rental agreement

The Lessor has the right to terminate the rental agreement early and repossess the vehicle where:

The Renter violates the terms of the rental agreement.
The Renter has committed fraud for the purpose of obtaining the vehicle.
The vehicle has been abandoned.
The vehicle has not been returned at the agreed time and place.
The vehicle has been damaged.
The Lessor, a police representative or another competent public authority has reasonable grounds to believe that operation of the vehicle by the Renter or by another driver listed in the rental agreement poses a real danger to that person or to others.

20. Responsibilities of the Lessor

The Lessor guarantees the reserved vehicle. If, for objective reasons, the exact reserved vehicle cannot be provided, the Lessor undertakes to provide a vehicle of the same class or cancel the reservation and fully refund the advance payment made by the Renter.
The Lessor guarantees that the vehicle provided is technically roadworthy and has all required documents – registration certificate, technical inspection certificate, Third-Party Liability Insurance and a valid road vignette.
The Lessor is required to provide the reserved vehicle to the customer on the previously agreed date and at the agreed time. Normal delays due to traffic and other unforeseen circumstances beyond the Lessor's control relating to the road network are permissible.
For a prepaid confirmed reservation, the Lessor is required to wait for the customer for up to 2 hours after the previously agreed rental start time. After this period, the reservation may be canceled due to the vehicle's rental schedule and treated as a no-show by the Renter.
The Lessor and its employees and representatives shall not be liable for loss of profit or revenue, expenses incurred by the Renter, or damages suffered by the Renter or other persons arising from or in connection with the use, inability to use or delay in providing the vehicle.
The Lessor shall not be liable for loss or theft of personal belongings from the vehicle.

II. Rental of a vehicle with a company driver

No deposit is required.
A rental agreement containing only the main rental parameters is signed.
No handover protocol is required.

III. Speed limits in the Republic of Bulgaria

Motorways – up to 140 km/h.
In populated areas – up to 50 km/h.
Outside populated areas – up to 90 km/h.

An individual maximum speed limit may be specified for each vehicle, which may differ from the maximum speed permitted by law, depending on the type and characteristics of the vehicle, engine size and power, technical characteristics and other relevant factors. Where such a limit has been specified for a particular vehicle, it shall be stated in the rental agreement and the Renter is required to comply with it.

IV. Discounts

Second rental – 5%.
Third, fourth and fifth rental – 7%.
Sixth and each subsequent rental – 10%.
